DECISION!

With the help of the wonderful and grace and her mum, ive come to my decision..

Im not going for sarnie. theres quite a few reasons why ..





Well when grace read this blog she phoned my- but i was down the stables with zind (where else am i ? lol) anyway so her mum spoke to my mum and told me about sarnie.


He's got abit of a reputation- for being naughty- bucking when you're jumping, bolting on hacks- and those are the two main reasons why i wanted him- for hacks and jumping.





When i got back my mum told me and i was like..oh dear :/


I was so excited about sarnie- it was something new and exciting, moving on and up.


But course that changed everything- especially what my mum thought. she didnt want me to even try him out. she was really worried and i must admit i suppose i was abit too. not so much the bucking- more the bolting especially on hacks .


the next day when i went to see zindy my eyes were like welling up with tears, i felt so bad that i'd even considered leaving her. shes my life, my star and i love her more than anything, more than life.





shes so good- perfectly well behaved and she makes me laugh and smile even when i dont want to, and shes been with me through alot of this so i couldnt let her go- not now because we've (both of us) come quite along way on the riding front- and our bond, i just hope one day we can be as incredible as that girl i look up to and who's helped me through tons of things, riding related and otherwise

maybe moving on ?

Yesterday after my lesson i saw this lady (well shes 20) go up the rode on one of her two horses.
she lives up the road and ive seen her horses- especially the on im going to talk about (sarnie)- scince i was little.

anyway recently we (my mum and dad and me) have been talking about zindy and talking about looking for something a little closer to home because my dads driving nearly 300-400 miles aday, and when we get back from zindy (shes about 5-10 minutes from where i live) hes really tired after driving around all day and its just like alot of money on petrol.

so my mum and dad talked about getting me one of my own after christmas but i thought like maybe i should get a little bit more experiance first- so i saw karley ( the lady) come past on bruce- her horse- and i just randomly went outside and asked about the little grey. she invited me down her yard which is a two minute walk away from my house and i went with her to see sarnie.

he is absolutley ADORABLE! hes 13.2 (same as zind) and grey. he would be about 14 hh karley says, but he doesnt have any withers and has a completley flat back, but hes had a saddle made for him (:

im going to ride him next saturday, and karley was telling me he sometimes does little bucks when your riding in the school- but out on the road and hacking hes perfect..which is good because theres great places for hacking around where i am and were going out for one on saturday so she can see how i ride and if she thinks im like suited to sarnie.

the only thing is like leaving zindy and i dont know :( because i love her so much but this could be a better opitunity for me seeing as karley says she likes to go to shows alot and maybe i could show sarnie. plus hes younger but i dont know yet. we'll see what happens next saturday

riding lesson

today my lesson was not soo goood :(!
i rode daisy- i havent ever ridden her before but at first she seemed alrite but then she spooked and it all went down hill from there.
she kept backing up and the bucked :/
i didnt fall off luckily but it makes me glad ive got zindy :D

bad stuff!

tonight at the stables was complete disaster!
well the weather looked alright so i thought ill ride until it started POURING with rain. literally it was like swamp land x100!
so i went off up the feild to get zindy in and she hates the rain and really strong wind and lucky me it was both of those things, and it was like a swamp. so i went to bring her in and just as we were about to go through the last feild we came tho this very deep, very muddy and very unavoidable puddle.
she just went beserk. jogging and spinning through it and then trying to just bomb off but luckily i kept hold of her.
the bad thing is that i fell over onto my knees (from the wind and rain and mud..and having zindy jumping around did NOT help!) onto a massive rock thing that i couldnt see because of all the mud and water etc. anyway so ive cut all my knee and its bruised and it looks like riding is a No-no for a few days ..maybe the whole week :(

Yesterday..

Thought i might as well write about yesterday down ther yard and in my lesson...



well i have my lessons at Northbrook equestrian centre on saturdays. thats how i first got into riding 2 and a half years ago now, though before that i occasionaly rode grace's (shebamillyandgrace) pony sheba.

Anyway- i had freddie (: hes a 4 year old fjord. hes such a little sweet heart (: he never puts a foot wrong and hes literally a bear disguised as a horse :D Anyway.. we did jumping and he was sooo good. I was abit nervous though because last week i was bucked off twice by Breyer (another horse) and i lost abit of confidence- though it turns out breyer actually had something wrong with her back, but the "back lady" has sorted it now.

(: he was soooooo good! normally hes quite lazy but he was a little rocket and was a little (well quite large) angel :D so all in all- a really good lesson .

and of course later i went down to see zinderella as always (: and as the weather has been rubbish i havent been able to ride her as much as normal so it was nice to be able to ride her yesterday (:


and- as always- she was really good. nice and forward going :D Yeaah..so it was a pretty good day for riding.
unfortunatley though atm im not getting any video footage but for christmas im hopefully gettin a my own video camera insted of having to borrow my dads (:

about me and zindy...

Haay. my names bethany. 13 years old and horse mad :). I made this because a) grace bullied me into it and b) just to write about me and zindy etc.
Zindyis my loan pony. 13.2 bay mare. ive been loaning her for about 4 maybe nearly 5 months now and shes my life. shes one of the sweetest ponies ive ever known and i just love her to bits.
